Mandelas given U.K. Union Membership. The ANC leader NM, & his banned wife, W, have been awarded honorary membership of one of Britains largest & most moderate trade unions. Award was made at the annual conference of the National Association of Local Govt Employees (Nalgo) in Brighton on Tuesday – the 20th anniversary of the Rivonia Trial sentences – Solly Smith & Adelaide Tambo. See also the editorial of Cape Time 14.6.84.
