Supreme chief of the Tembu Jongintaba Dalindyebo with his wife. He became Nelson Mandela’s guardian after the death of Mandela’s father. Nelson Mandela lived at the homestead of Jongintaba from the age of 9 until 16 and was raised together with Jongintaba's children.

Electronic files (MS Word - converted to PDF and jpeg) of Nelson Mandela's original autobiography written on Robben Island. It covers his life story from birth to about 1976. It was intended that the manuscript be published to mark Mr Mandela's 60th birthday in 1978 and help draw attention to the freedom struggle. The ANC leadership decided not to publish it. It later formed the basis for Mr Mandela's autobiography "Long Walk to Freedom".

Activities of Madiba Commemoration 2014 in four subsubseries: State Commemoration at Freedom Park, Mandela Legacy Cup, Artists Tribute and a Big Roar for Mandela.
The subseries consists of 12 printed desk calendars with handwritten notes covering the period between 1976 and 1989. The years 1978 and 1985 are missing from the collection. The calendars were used as a diary by Nelson Mandela while in prison and contain entries concerning matters such as visits, dreams, films, books, personal health and politics.

"The concert" was the first 46664 concert, this was held in Greenpoint stadium Cape Town, South Africa. Recorded from videotapes from 46664/1 to videotape 46664/55. The videotapes are in folders 1 and 2. Each videotape is recorded in three formats. The first format being the use copy MP4. format followed by the MOV. format which has a higher quality followed by the MXF which is broadcast quality. The reason for this is to provide for use copies and also to provide for broadcast quality whenever it is needed.
The Nelson Mandela Remembrance Walk which traced Nelson Mandela's passage through Tshwane (Pretoria) to his last resting place. The Walk started at Freedom Park and moved through Kgosi Mampuru Correctional services to Church Square, all the way to Lillian Ngoyi Square, and ended at the Union Buildings.
Walkers and runners. David Makhura, Maya Makanjee, among others, leading the Walk. The route retraced the steps of the motorcade that carried Mandela's body from 1 Military Hospital to the Unions Buildings , where he laid in state for five days after his dead four years ago. The day started with the wreath laying ceremony at the Union Buildings. The photographs are possibly taken with a 'fish-eye' lens.
The Nelson Mandela 5th Annual Lecture with Kofi Annan, former UN Secretary-General and Nobel laureate. The focuse of the Lecture was on the progress of Africa, that it needed to be balanced on three pillars: security, development and human rights.
