The Concert for Refugees was dedicated to the strength and courage of refugees. The aim of the concert was to encourage public awareness and support of the refugees through this celebration. The concert was organised by Turquoise Harmony Institute (THI) and the Nelson Mandela Foundation, and other institutions.
This item consists of a series of the 46664 HIV/AIDS campaigns and concerts held from 2003 up to 2008. The first concert was held in Cape Town, followed by the one in George, the next was held Tromso, Spain, then Hyde Park, London, this was followed by the Johannesburg one and then the last one was held in New York. The performance was by the South African and the international artists from all performing from the year 2003 up to 2008.

Cycalive was launched by Torah Academy, Moletsane High and Tladi Technical in 1998. Cycalive is an event for Grade 11 students of different cultural and religious backgrounds. The departure of the 'Trek4Mandela' from the Nelson Mandela Foundation. This expedition was established in 2012 when Richard Mabaso, Chief Executive Officer of the Imbumba Foundation, overheard a fearful conversation between his mom and niece about puberty. Richard invited his friend Sibusiso Vilane, the first black person in the world to conquer the Three Poles Challenge (reaching the South Pole, North Pole and Mount Everest), to lead him on his first expedition to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. The objectives of the climb were to: Create awareness about the challenges facing impoverished girls in rural and poor schools during their monthly cycles; Raise funds to purchase sanitary towels so that needy girls can go to school when having their menstrual period and to Educate people about Mandela Day and the need to take action beyond 18 July, thereby helping to make every day a Mandela Day.

At the ceremony, the Centre of Memory also received a mechanical boost by way of a vehicle donated by Volkswagen SA and a commitment from comedian and actor, Eddie Izzard to a future donation. Izzard is in South Africa to run 27 marathons in 27 days in honour of the 27 years Nelson Mandela spent in prison.
