Abe Berry Cartoon Collection

Collection of political cartoons produced by Abe Berry, former cartoonist for the Star Newspaper. Most of the cartoons were produced for the Star Newspaper and some for City Press. The cartoons cover Nelson Mandela in relation to subjects such as:
The South African 'Bantustan' system. Speculation about his release from prison. The Organisation of African Unity and the International Anti-Apartheid Movement. Free Mandela campaigns. The unbanning of the African National Congress and the South African Communist Party. Nelson Mandela's release from prison.
