Tuesday, 30 April 1996

The President will hold bilateral discussions with Foreign Ministers from visiting UNCTAD countries at Mahlamba Ndlopfu. The talks will commence at 9H00 and finish at 10H30.

At 12H00 the President will receive the report of the Presidential Task Team which is investigating the advisability of going ahead with elections in KwaZulu-Natal on 29 May 1996.

Wednesday, 1 May 1996

The President will address an May Day rally at Athlone Stadium. He will speak at 14H00.

Thursday, 2 May 1996

The President will visit Queen Buhle of the Zulus in Hospital in KwaZulu - Natal. The time for the visit will be announced later.

Friday, 3 May 1996

At 9H00, the President will meet former Prime Minister of Japan, Mr Kaifu. The venue for the meeting is still to be confirmed.

Saturday, 4 May 1996

The President will attend the unveiling of the tombstone of the Late Joe Slovo, former Minister of Housing. The ANC should be contacted for details.
