Sculpture made of gray, pink, and white granite stone. Sculpture has a gold medal from the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) embedded near the top. Stone is polished smooth below the medal, and engraved with the following:
10 June 2000
The SABS gold medal was awarded to Mr Nelson Mandela (Madiba) former President of South Africa 1994-1999 for his efforts in improving the quality of life for all South Africans
