Award consists of a triangular shaped base (with rectangualr bottom) in medium dark wood. A bronze plate with an affixed smaller gold plate is affixed to the wooden base and reads:

A small circular plate is affixed abolve this plaque with the golden coat of arms of Trinidad and Tobago
The base holds aloft a disc of clear, engraved glass. The left and right side of the crystal are engraved with the Chaconia Blossom, Trinidad and Tobago's national flower. The top of the crystal is engraved with a circle divided into two parts: The top part is an engraving of Trinidad and Tobago and the bottom part is an engraving of South Africa.
The glass disc hold at its centre smaller concentric circles of the medium dark wood. Mounted on the smaller circle is a delicately pierced forged dove of sterling silver set with a moonstone in 18 carat yellow cold and with wings carved of mother of pearl.
There is a gold triangular plate affixed to the rear portion of the base that includes an artists note describing the award and the significance of the engravings and ornaments. The title of the piece is "Give Peacei n Our Time O Lord."
